Applications are now open for the Millennium Fellowship 2026 cohort by the United Nations Academic Impact and the Millennium Campus Network (MCN).
This program offers a unique chance for undergraduate students who are passionate about leadership, community impact, innovation, and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Each year, the fellowship brings together thousands of emerging leaders from campuses around the world. Fellows participate in a semester-long leadership development experience designed to strengthen their ability to design, manage, and scale meaningful social impact projects.
In recent years, Millennium Fellows have made significant contributions:

Delivered more than 2,110 impact projects,

Contributed 382,000+ hours of service,

Worked across all 17 SDGs,

And reached more than 1 million people across 48 countries.
Selected students become part of a global network of over 60,000 young leaders representing more than 7,500 campuses worldwide. The program provides training, mentorship, and international visibility — all fully funded, with no participation fees.
Campuses must form a cohort of at least eight students to participate. Larger cohorts — typically 15–20 Fellows — are especially competitive.

Round 1:
Applicants share their motivation for joining the program. This round is reviewed on a rolling basis. The next priority deadline is 30 November 2025.
Round 2:
Successful candidates from Round 1 receive an invitation to provide further details, including:
Information on an existing or proposed social impact project,
A brief reflection on their passion for the cause,
An optional application to serve as Campus Director,
One academic or professional recommendation.
