Selected fellows receive full financial support throughout the fellowship, including international travel, tuition and training costs, accommodation, medical insurance, and a monthly living allowance. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be between 25 and 45 years of age and have successfully completed a first-level university degree. Candidates must be government officials from developing countries who work directly on issues relating to the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), ocean governance, maritime boundaries, marine environmental protection, fisheries, maritime security, coastal zone management, ocean and climate change, or other related fields. Applicants must demonstrate strong written and spoken English proficiency and be nominated by their government. The proposed research or study programme should directly support the development or implementation of ocean affairs and law of the sea policies in their country. Successful candidates must also be available for the entire fellowship period without conflicting professional obligations. (⁠United Nations)
