Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024/2025 Commonwealth Distance Learning Masters Scholarships, which is one of the three Master’s programmes administered by the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission. Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), these scholarships aim to provide talented individuals from eligible Commonwealth countries with access to training and skills necessary for sustainable development, which may not be available in their home countries. The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) manages this scholarship scheme, aligning with international development goals and showcasing the UK’s commitment to the Commonwealth. By attracting individuals with exceptional talent and potential from diverse backgrounds and supporting them to become leaders and innovators upon their return, the CSC contributes to sustainable development while promoting the UK’s national interests and fostering international partnerships. To qualify for a Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship, applicants must be citizens of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be British Protected Persons, and must be permanently residing in a developing Commonwealth country. Additionally, they should possess a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) standard, although lower qualifications with relevant experience may be considered in certain cases. Moreover, applicants must demonstrate financial need and prove that they are unable to pursue the program without this scholarship.
