The 2025 edition of the GCUB International Mobility Program (GCUB-Mob) has officially opened for applications, offering students worldwide an incredible opportunity to study at over 100 distinguished universities across Brazil.

This initiative, spearheaded by the International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB), invites international candidates to further their studies in Brazil’s leading higher education institutions. The program supports both Master’s and Doctoral candidates through scholarships that include full tuition coverage and a monthly financial allowance throughout the study period. Master’s students can benefit for up to two years, while doctoral students may receive support for up to four years.

With backing from global entities such as UNESCO, the Organization of American States (OAS), the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), and the Union of Latin American and Caribbean Universities (UDUALC), this academic mobility scheme aims to strengthen global partnerships, promote cultural interaction, and encourage world-class research and learning across continents.

Recipients of the scholarship will enjoy comprehensive tuition waivers, monthly financial support, and full access to campus services, such as libraries, laboratories, and university cafeterias—under the same conditions as domestic Brazilian students. Institutional mentors are also available at each participating university to provide ongoing guidance. Notably, there are no application fees involved in the process.

Applicants should be nationals of countries that maintain diplomatic relations with Brazil, and must not possess Brazilian citizenship. Candidates are expected to be mentally and physically fit and must have the ability to independently finance aspects not included in the scholarship—such as airfare, visa procedures, travel insurance, and daily living expenses until the first stipend is disbursed. Furthermore, required documents and motivation statements must be submitted in one of the following languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, or French. Each applicant may select a maximum of five Master’s or PhD programs, each from a different university in Brazil.
