FULLY FUNDED: One Young World Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2026

Applications are open for the One Young World Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2026, an initiative supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and delivered by One Young World. This fully funded scholarship is designed for young entrepreneurs and business leaders who are driving social or environmental impact through their enterprises. Selected scholars will participate in the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, where they will join a global community of young leaders, engage in high-level discussions, attend leadership sessions, and connect with decision-makers from across the world. The programme also includes a dedicated pre-summit programme focused on strengthening entrepreneurial capacity and long-term impact.

Program Benefits

Successful candidates will receive a fully funded scholarship package that covers all major costs associated with participation. This includes access to the One Young World Summit 2026 and the official pre-programme, return economy flights from the scholar’s country of residence to Cape Town, and local transportation related to the Summit. Scholars will be provided with hotel accommodation for the duration of the programme, as well as meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Visa costs and accommodation related to visa processing will be covered where applicable. In addition, scholars will become members of the One Young World Ambassador Community, gaining long-term access to leadership development programmes, global networking opportunities, and initiatives supported by One Young World and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old by the time of the One Young World Summit in November 2026. The scholarship is open to young entrepreneurs and business leaders who are founders, co-founders, or key decision-makers within start-ups or small and medium-sized enterprises that demonstrate clear social or environmental impact. Applicants must be nationals and residents of eligible countries in Africa and the Middle East, including Uganda. Candidates should show strong leadership potential, a proven commitment to positive change, and the ability to actively contribute to discussions and collaborative activities during the Summit. A good command of English is required, as all programme activities and Summit sessions are conducted in English. Applicants must also be fully available to participate in the entire programme, including the pre-programme and the full duration of the Summit.
