Applications are now open for the Women in Ocean Food Africa Innovation Studio, a program designed to support women founders and leaders in Sub-Saharan Africa developing innovative solutions in ocean foods. This fully funded program offers mentorship, business strategy guidance, and access to a global network of female-led ventures in sustainable aquaculture, marine biotech, seafood value chains, ocean conservation, and blue carbon. Selected participants will engage in an intensive program in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, gaining practical skills and support to scale their ventures while contributing to the blue economy.

Program Benefits

Selected participants will benefit from an equity-free program that includes intensive mentorship, business strategy support, and access to global networks of investors and industry experts. Each team will have travel, accommodation, and meals fully covered for two team members. The program also provides long-term post-program support to help ventures scale and gain visibility in the ocean foods sector. Participants will leave the program with enhanced skills in business development, communications, and sustainability leadership, as well as meaningful connections with other women innovators across Africa and the world.

Eligibility Criteria

This program is open to women founders or women-led teams based in Sub-Saharan Africa. Applicants must be developing solutions in ocean foods, including sustainable aquaculture, marine biotech, seafood value chains, ocean conservation, or blue carbon. Teams must be able to travel to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for the program duration. This opportunity is designed for women entrepreneurs who are motivated to grow their ventures, engage with mentors and experts in the sector, and make an impact in the regional and global blue economy.
