FULLY FUNDED TO GENEVA, SWITZERLAND: Apply for this funded youth speaker opportunity at the 2025 Geneva Peace Week

Applications are open for youth to apply as in-person speakers at the Kofi Annan Foundation Geneva Peace Address during Geneva Peace Week 2025, taking place from October 13–17, 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. The event will feature a keynote address by a former UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, followed by a dialogue with three youth peacebuilders. The deadline to submit applications for nomination is Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 8:00 pm EST (New York time). More information about Geneva Peace Week 2025 can be found on the official website.

The selected youth speaker will have their travel and accommodation costs fully funded by the Geneva Peace Week Team. The nomination process is being facilitated by MGCY and the Global Youth Caucus on SDG16. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the SDG16 GYC, and the final selection will be made by the Geneva Peace Week Team.

Organizers are seeking candidates with expertise and experience in areas such as local conflict analysis and community insights, mediation and dialogue facilitation, the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, advocacy and policy influence, digital peacebuilding and cyber-mediation, gender, inclusion and intersectionality, climate, environment and security, trauma healing and mental health in peacebuilding, and cross-border or regional peace networks.

Applicants from underrepresented and marginalized groups are especially encouraged to apply. This includes women, youth, people with disabilities, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, ethnic minorities, refugees and internally displaced persons, indigenous communities, victims of violent conflict, and those working within diverse networks and coalitions. Local peacebuilders working at the grassroots level are also strongly encouraged to participate.

The dialogue aims to ensure diverse geographic representation, with particular attention given to participants from the Global South and conflict-affected regions and countries.
