FULLY FUNDED TO GERMANY : Apply for the 2026 DAAD EPOS Scholarships for Development

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has opened applications for the 2026 cycle of its prestigious Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS) scholarships. Funded by the German Government, this fully supported program enables qualified professionals from developing and newly industrialized countries to pursue Master’s or, in selected cases, PhD degrees at state or state-recognized universities across Germany.

The EPOS initiative is designed to strengthen the capacity of future leaders who are committed to advancing sustainable development in their home countries. By equipping specialists with high-level academic training and international exposure, the program contributes to long-term social, economic, and environmental progress.

Program Benefits
- Monthly stipend of approximately €934 for Master’s students and €1,200 for doctoral candidates

- Full or partial tuition coverage (where applicable)

- Possible additional support for rent and family members (subject to conditions)
Eligibility Criteria
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (typically four years) in a relevant discipline

- Have achieved above-average academic results (top third of class)

- Possess at least two years of relevant professional experience after their first degree

- Be working in a public institution, government agency, or private organization involved in development-oriented initiatives

- Have obtained their last academic degree within the past six years

- Not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months at the time of application

- Language proficiency in English (IELTS or TOEFL) or German is required, depending on the program.
