Fully funded to UK : Apply for the Allan and Nesta Ferguson—University of Leeds scholarships 2025

The scholarships are sponsored collaboratively by the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust and the University of Leeds. The Trust was established in honor of two generations of the Ferguson family, with a focus on supporting education, fostering international friendship and understanding, and promoting global peace and development.

One-year fully funded scholarships are available for applicants from developing countries who wish to pursue full-time Taught Master's studies in selected schools.

Eligibility:

  • Open to international applicants from developing countries
  • Applicants must pursue a one-year taught Master's program in selected schools, focusing on subjects related to the economic, social, or technological development of their home country.

Eligibility for this scholarship applies to applicants pursuing programs focused on economic, social, or technological development (excluding the Leeds MBA) in the following schools:

  • Earth and Environment
  • Electronic and Electrical Engineering
  • Biological Sciences
  • Geography
  • History
  • Law
  • Languages, Cultures, and Societies
  • Medicine
  • Media and Communication
  • Performance and Cultural Industries
  • Physics and Astronomy
  • Politics and International Studies
  • Philosophy, Religion, and History of Science
  • Transport Studies
  • Leeds University Business School

Eligibility Criteria
- Be a citizen and permanent resident of a developing country as listed by the International Development Association (IDA) of Borrowing Countries.
- Have not completed studies lasting one year or more in a developed country.
- Be unable to afford the cost of studying in the UK, either personally or through family support.
- Agree to return to their home country immediately after completing their studies.
