The David Sainsbury Scholarship 2025 provides students from developing countries with a prestigious opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of East Anglia.

This scholarship, established by the David Sainsbury Laboratory, offers a fully funded one-year MSc program at UEA.

The maximum amount covered by each full scholarship is:

the entire tuition charge (international fee of £35,450 for 2025–26).

upkeep grant (the precise amount at the UKRI postgraduate researcher stipend level will be decided for 2025–2026; it was £19,237 in 2024–2023)

an extra £4,000 for travel expenses (provided that the economy class travel receipts are legitimate).

Eligibility Criteria

You must fulfil each of the following requirements in order to be eligible for the David Sainsbury Scholarship 2025:

get an offer to enrol in the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health program.

For admission in the 2025–2026 academic year, applicants must not be citizens of or reside in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income nation or territory as defined by the Overseas Development Agency Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, edition 2024–2025.
