FULLY FUNDED TUITION : Apply for the University of Glasgow African Excellence Award 2026/2027

The University of Glasgow is inviting outstanding students from across Africa to apply for the African Excellence Award for the 2026/2027 academic year. This prestigious scholarship is designed to support academically strong individuals who aspire to become future leaders and make meaningful contributions to their communities and countries.

The award is available to students enrolling in a one-year postgraduate taught Master’s programme at the University of Glasgow, across a wide range of disciplines.

 Eligible Fields of Study

The award applies to almost all Master’s programmes offered by the University of Glasgow, including (but not limited to):

  • Climate & Environmental Science

  • Public Health and Global Health

  • Engineering, Technology & AI

  • Business, Finance & Economics

  • Law, Human Rights & Public Policy

  • Data Science, Cybersecurity & Analytics

  • Education, Social Sciences & Humanities

  • Sustainable Development & Energy

(Postgraduate diplomas and certificates are not eligible.)

 Key Dates

  • Application deadline: 31 March 2026 (23:59 UK time)

  • Interview notifications: By 8 May 2026

  • Programme start: September 2026

Eligibility Criteria
- Be domiciled in Africa and hold a passport from an eligible African country

- Have international student fee status

- Demonstrate academic excellence, equivalent to a UK First Class Honours degree

- Intend to study a one-year postgraduate taught Master’s programme starting in September 2026

- Be able to clearly explain how the chosen Master’s programme supports their career or development goals

- Meet UKVI living cost requirements for international students

Applicants do not need to hold a Master’s offer at the time of scholarship application, but an offer will be required before interview consideration.
