The Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator is a 16-week program that offers equity-free support to climate tech companies, helping them rapidly scale their innovations and integrate them into millions of Amazon devices globally.
Focus Areas
Energy Efficiency
Innovations aimed at reducing energy consumption in devices like displays, cameras, and speakers, particularly in components such as sensors, microphones, networking equipment, and others that affect power usage.
Displays
Innovative solutions that decarbonize displays and their supporting components, considering the entire lifecycle from design and manufacturing to customer use and recycling.
Device Batteries
Innovations for Amazon device batteries that focus on increasing recycled content, enhancing efficiency, extending battery life, and minimizing the environmental impact of their manufacturing process.
Low Carbon Materials
Materials like carbon-captured polyoxymethylene (CPOM), bioplastics, recycled carbon fiber, bio-based polymers, and recycled metals and alloys, aiming to reduce carbon emissions in manufacturing.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Innovations that leverage AI to improve product designs, extend device lifespans, and optimize energy usage for customers.
Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
Innovations for PCBs that improve recyclability, reuse, and waste reduction, including biodegradable PCBs and additive manufacturing techniques.
Circularity
Innovations that promote Amazon’s transition to a circular economy for its devices and packaging, focusing on extending product lifetimes, enhancing recyclability, and reusing components.
Devices Decarbonization Wildcard
While the above areas are the primary focus, submissions for other decarbonization innovations related to consumer electronics are also welcome.

Applicants should have a senior leader available and ready to take part in a hybrid 16-week accelerator, which includes up to three in-person events.
Additionally, applicants must be willing to create an Amazon Press Release/Frequently Asked Questions (PRFAQ) and provide a potential integration assessment if their technology is selected as a finalist by the Amazon Devices team.
Fluency in both spoken and written English is required.
