FUNDING : Apply for the Travel and Accommodation Honorarium for the 2026 Canada Youth Internet Governance Forum (Canada Youth IGF)
Applications are open for the Travel and Accommodations Honorarium to support youth participation in the 2026 Canada Youth Internet Governance Forum (Canada Youth IGF) and the inaugural Canadian School of Internet Governance (CanSIG).
The initiative is designed to reduce financial barriers for young people across Canada who wish to attend these events in person and contribute to discussions on the future of internet governance.
Organized by the Young Digital Leaders of Canada, the Canada Youth IGF provides a platform for young people to explore key internet governance issues, strengthen their understanding of digital policy, and engage with fellow youth leaders, policymakers, and technology stakeholders.
Ahead of the forum, participants will also have the opportunity to attend the Canadian School of Internet Governance, a preparatory program focused on building knowledge of internet governance, cyber diplomacy, and technical policy skills.

- Selected applicants will receive financial assistance to help cover:
- Travel expenses
- Accommodation costs
- Support to enable in-person participation at both events in Toronto
- Indigenous youth
- Persons with visible or invisible disabilities
- Young women working to address technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV)
- Young Canadian leaders actively engaged in internet governance or digital issues
- Applicants from rural and remote communities are especially encouraged to apply. Individuals who do not fully match the priority categories but have a strong interest in internet governance are also welcome to submit an application.
