Funding of $200k : Apply for the Compute for Climate Fellowship 2025
Under the sponsorship of UNESCO, the International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) established the Fellowship in 2023.
With technical and scientific guidance from AWS and IRCAI, each Fellow firm that is accepted into the program develops a novel proof-of-concept (PoC) climate solution that is financed by AWS.
Areas of Focus
Winners will "think big" and showcase innovation by utilizing advanced cloud computing, with the potential to make a substantial global impact in at least one of the nine climate solution areas:
- Clean Energy
- Low-Carbon Transportation
- Sustainable Agriculture and Food
- Circular Economy and Industry
- Sustainable Buildings
- Greenhouse Gas Management
- Carbon Removal
- Environment and Climate Risk
- Indigenous Solutions to the Climate Crisis

Grants will be provided as AWS credits to cover cloud computing expenses for the Proof of Concept (PoC), with up to $200k available per startup.
