Applications are now open for the UN Women Care and Climate Business Support Programme.

Programme Summary

Backed by the Visa Foundation, this initiative by UN Women is designed to uplift enterprises led by women or those that benefit women, specifically within the care and environmental sectors—or where the two overlap—across the Asia-Pacific. The programme will offer specialized guidance tailored to each enterprise, focusing on six key areas: business strategy, operational efficiency, inclusive growth models, financial planning, partnerships, and gender integration. Participant Commitment

Successful applicants are expected to dedicate a minimum of two hours weekly during the initial six-month intensive support phase beginning in September. This will later reduce to one hour per week during the following stage. In addition, selected businesses will be required to endorse the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) and express a general commitment to incorporating gender equity into their core operations.

• Climate tech and disaster prediction tools

• Energy efficiency and green buildings

• Waste management and circular economy

• Sustainable mobility (e.g., EVs)

• Nature-based climate solutions

General Eligibility Requirements

• Women-led or gender-diverse founding team

• Registered, for-profit entity in South or Southeast Asia

• Minimum two years of operations, with revenue generation and proven market fit
