The World Resources Institute (WRI) is dedicated to guiding human society toward living in harmony with the Earth’s environment, ensuring its ability to meet the needs and ambitions of both present and future generations.

• The Ocean: WRI is leading efforts toward a New Ocean Economy that supports job creation, economic growth, and public health while protecting and revitalizing marine ecosystems.

These strategic areas are approached through four cross-cutting Centers of Excellence: Governance, Business, Economics, and Finance, which help design and assess impactful solutions for a sustainable future.
