Applications are now open for the Blue Economy Connect (BEC) General Volunteers Program 2026, offering individuals from diverse academic and professional backgrounds an opportunity to contribute to initiatives advancing Africa's blue economy while building valuable leadership and professional skills.
The programme is designed for people who are passionate about sustainable development, environmental conservation, climate action, youth empowerment, community development, agriculture, natural resource management, or other related fields. Individuals without prior experience in the blue economy are also encouraged to apply, provided they have a strong interest in learning and contributing to the sector.
BEC welcomes applicants from a wide range of disciplines, including business, journalism, engineering, environmental sciences, geography, GIS, information technology, policy and governance, and many other fields.
