Join the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Young Forest Champions Initiative
If you're passionate about forests and fighting climate change, the Young Forest Champions Initiative could be your chance to make a real impact!
This initiative is designed for young people in Kenya, Zambia, Uganda, Ghana, and Peru, aiming to empower the next generation of leaders to drive meaningful forest conservation. Participants will have access to mentorship, training, and hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like remote sensing.
These tools will equip them to restore forests, track ecosystem health, and protect vital landscapes. Following its success in Kenya, the initiative is now expanding to other countries, offering more youth the opportunity to create real change in their communities and beyond.
Ten emerging leaders from each participating country will be chosen to join a dynamic network that is shaping the future of forest conservation and building climate resilience for the years to come.
Interested individuals should apply by the deadline of Friday, 14 February 2025.
