OPPORTUNITY: Apply For The PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 2026
Applications are open for the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 2026, a global youth video competition organized by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations in partnership with the International Organization for Migration. The festival provides young people from around the world with an opportunity to use the power of film and storytelling to address important global issues such as migration, diversity, social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, countering xenophobia, discrimination, misinformation, and hate speech. Young filmmakers are encouraged to share their perspectives and creative ideas through short videos that inspire positive social change and promote understanding among cultures and communities.
PLURAL+ welcomes creative submissions in different formats including documentaries, animations, music videos, dramas, and other forms of storytelling. The initiative aims to amplify youth voices and provide a global platform where young creators can showcase their talents while contributing to conversations on some of the most pressing social issues affecting societies today. Winners and selected participants gain international recognition and may have their work screened globally through UN platforms and partner organizations.

Major award recipients may also receive fully funded travel and accommodation to attend the PLURAL+ Awards Ceremony and related international events. In addition, selected participants benefit from mentorship opportunities, global visibility, media promotion, and the chance to have their voices amplified through the networks of the United Nations and its global partners.
Videos must be between 1 and 5 minutes long and should either be in English or include English subtitles if produced in another language. Participants are allowed to use any genre or filmmaking style, including fiction, non-fiction, animation, comedy, experimental film, or music-based productions. The organizers encourage original and creative storytelling approaches that reflect the experiences, perspectives, and ideas of young people globally.
