OPPORTUNITY: Apply For The PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 2026

Applications are open for the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 2026, a global youth video competition organized by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations in partnership with the International Organization for Migration. The festival provides young people from around the world with an opportunity to use the power of film and storytelling to address important global issues such as migration, diversity, social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, countering xenophobia, discrimination, misinformation, and hate speech. Participants selected for the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 2026 will receive significant international exposure and recognition for their creative work. Winning and shortlisted videos may be screened at international events, film festivals, educational institutions, and United Nations platforms around the world. This provides young filmmakers with an opportunity to reach global audiences and build valuable networks within the international creative and social impact communities.

Major award recipients may also receive fully funded travel and accommodation to attend the PLURAL+ Awards Ceremony and related international events. In addition, selected participants benefit from mentorship opportunities, global visibility, media promotion, and the chance to have their voices amplified through the networks of the United Nations and its global partners.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants from all countries around the world are eligible to participate in the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 2026. The competition is open to young people aged 25 years and below. Participants may apply individually or as a group, although one person must be designated as the main contact for group submissions. Videos submitted must have been created after 1 January 2023 and should focus on themes related to migration, diversity, social inclusion, combating discrimination, intercultural dialogue, or related social topics.

Videos must be between 1 and 5 minutes long and should either be in English or include English subtitles if produced in another language. Participants are allowed to use any genre or filmmaking style, including fiction, non-fiction, animation, comedy, experimental film, or music-based productions. The organizers encourage original and creative storytelling approaches that reflect the experiences, perspectives, and ideas of young people globally.
Eligible Countries
The opportunity is open to applicants from all countries worldwide. Young people from every region are encouraged to participate regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, or background, provided they meet the age and submission requirements stated by the organizers.
