The externship provides a fully remote, 10-hour-per-week experience, offering flexibility for participants to engage with world-class experts and leaders from National Geographic and The Nature Conservancy. All meetings and events are recorded, ensuring you never miss a moment of learning and growth. Through this program, participants will explore the core concepts of freshwater conservation and gain essential skills in written and visual storytelling. These skills will help you communicate effectively about the pressing freshwater issues facing your community and inspire others to join the movement.

Successful participants will not only leave with a deeper understanding of freshwater conservation strategies but will also receive a $500 stipend as recognition of their commitment and contribution.
