The role involves developing digital content that educates, inspires, and aligns with the organization’s mission. The Content Creator will be responsible for producing both written and visual material across multiple platforms, combining AI tools with personal creativity to deliver authentic, high-quality messaging that reflects the Island Innovation brand.

They will work closely with the Content & Communications Manager to translate strategy into engaging content. This includes writing copy for emails, newsletters, social media posts, and announcements, as well as creating visually appealing content such as Instagram carousels, LinkedIn posts, and short-form video clips. The role also involves using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to generate ideas, drafts, and research, which are then refined into polished, humanized outputs that maintain the brand’s tone and voice.

The Content Creator will collaborate with designers to transform content into aligned visual assets, use tools like Canva for quick visual creation, and edit long-form recordings into short, shareable clips using software like Opus Clip. They should be comfortable appearing on camera for casual brand presentations and contributing new ideas to enhance content engagement.

Candidates should have excellent English writing and editing skills, strong attention to tone and clarity, and experience creating social media content, including short-form video scripting and editing. Comfort with AI-assisted content creation, basic visual design skills, and an interest in sustainability, climate justice, or innovation are essential. The role requires a self-starter with strong time management and communication skills suitable for a fully remote environment.

Additional skills such as proficiency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese, experience interviewing stakeholders, writing feature-style content, or basic motion design and animation are considered a plus.
