Remote Job Opportunity : Coalition for Human Rights in Development is currently hiring a global remote fundraiser
The Coalition for Human Rights in Development is currently hiring a global remote fundraiser.
Concerning the role
We are seeking people that have already made a positive impact on institutional funders (trusts, foundations, and governments) through successful fundraising campaigns.
Within the Coalition secretariat, this is a new position. Working closely and cooperatively with the director and programme leads—who are now in charge of fundraising—will be your new role. We anticipate that having a committed fundraiser would enable us to more strategically grow and maintain funds for the Coalition, as well as for our members and partners.
Concerning the Coalition
More than a hundred grassroots organisations, civil society organisations, and social movements make up the Coalition for Human Rights in Development, which is led by the Global South. Together, we strive to promote rights-based, community-led development and hold governments, businesses, and development financing organisations responsible for their effects on people and the environment.
Leadership, initiative, dedication, empathy, patience, humility, and superior writing abilities are necessary for this position. Fundraising is the main focus, with a solidarity fundraising component that makes use of financial ties for member and partner organisations, particularly at the grassroots level, and goes towards supporting the Coalition secretariat's programming work and regranting programmes.
Collaborative, trust-driven, and horizontal in nature, our team operates virtually from the Global South/Majority World. We establish limits, speak honestly, and show respect for one another. We appreciate collaborating and consulting with one another. Owing to our geographical dispersion, we must coordinate with colleagues in other time zones by working later or earlier in the evening or morning. Synchronous work between 500 and 1230 UTC is required for this post.
Developing a fundraising strategy, taking the lead in grant application drafting, managing financial reporting, researching funding prospects, keeping up with giving trends, organising donor outreach, ensuring smooth donor relationships, setting up prospect meetings, collaborating with communications staff to create donor materials, fortifying internal fundraising systems, keeping a donor database, offering regular updates, and guaranteeing donor requirements are all part of the role's responsibilities in support of the Coalition's budget and regranting programmes.
Don't miss out on the application deadline which is February 18, 2024.
