The internship is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis (3–6 months), with a competitive stipend ranging from £25,000 to £30,000 (pro rata) depending on experience. For high-performing candidates, there may be consideration for a longer-term or permanent role. Engagement can be structured as either an employee or contractor arrangement, depending on the candidate’s location. The position is fully remote and open internationally, with some travel expected.

About the Role

The Project Finance Intern will join a dedicated project finance team working at the intersection of private investment, carbon and biodiversity markets, and ecosystem restoration. The role contributes directly to the development and financing of nature-based projects by supporting investment analysis, project structuring, and stakeholder engagement.

Working closely with senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams, the intern will help assess new opportunities, prepare investment materials, and support due diligence for projects that deliver both environmental and social returns.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Supporting financial modelling, budgeting, and investment analysis for carbon- and biodiversity-led restoration projects

• Assisting with due diligence by reviewing financial, risk, and impact-related information

• Contributing to the preparation of investor presentations, reports, and portfolio updates

• Collaborating with internal teams on project development and funding requirements

• Conducting market research on sustainable finance, carbon markets, biodiversity credits, and nature-based solutions

• Supporting engagement with potential financiers and partners

Candidate Profile

Working Arrangements
