Applications are now open for the Social Enterprise Fund for Agriculture in Africa (SEFAA) 2026, an investment initiative designed to strengthen agricultural enterprises that create sustainable economic opportunities for smallholder farmers across Sub-Saharan Africa.
The fund provides flexible financing ranging from $300,000 to $2.4 million to eligible agri-food businesses that have demonstrated viable business models and are ready to scale their operations. Through a combination of debt, equity, and quasi-equity financing, the program aims to accelerate business growth while improving agricultural productivity, market access, and financial inclusion.
SEFAA was established to support enterprises that contribute to stronger agricultural value chains and create lasting economic benefits for smallholder farmers. Beyond financial investment, the fund also offers technical assistance to help participating businesses strengthen management systems, improve sustainability practices, and expand their market opportunities.
