Applications are open to join the Climate Words team as a volunteer writer. They are inviting passionate contributors to support the development of their climate lexicon. Volunteers will be responsible for creating and refining entries, collaborating with researchers and fact-checkers, and ensuring all content maintains a clear and unified tone across different platforms.

They are looking for people who bring strong knowledge of climate justice or environmental issues, along with excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills. Applicants should be proactive, dependable, and able to work consistently while keeping in touch with the rest of the team.

The role involves a weekly commitment of around four hours, with three hours focused on writing or editing and one hour dedicated to communication and coordination.

Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis until 27 September 2025.
