Applications are now open for the DAAD Re-Invitation Programme 2027, a fully funded opportunity that enables former DAAD scholarship recipients to return to Germany for short-term research, academic collaboration, or professional development projects.

Funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, the programme aims to strengthen international academic cooperation while supporting the global DAAD alumni network.

The programme offers selected participants the opportunity to spend one to three months at a state-recognized university, non-university research institute, or other eligible host institution in Germany. It is designed to help alumni expand their research, strengthen professional partnerships, and contribute to knowledge exchange across disciplines.

Eligible Activities

Funding is available for:

• Research projects at German universities.
• Research at recognized non-university research institutes.
• Academic collaborations with German institutions.
• Professional placements in business, public administration, cultural organizations, or media institutions for eligible non-academic professionals.

Projects may be carried out at one or multiple host institutions, depending on the proposed work plan.
