Applications are open for the Migration Management Diploma Program (MMDP) 2024 cohort at United Nations University-MERIT

UNU-MERIT has been providing the Migration Management Diploma Program (MMDP), a program for building capacities, since 2013. Government employees that work in immigration and asylum are the target audience for this curriculum. Additionally, it is accessible to other professionals and students with an interest in handling immigration and asylum rules. The course includes a variety of teaching and evaluation techniques, including lectures and interactive meetings with participants, and it lasts for three months full-time. Special emphasis is placed on practical hands-on tasks, particularly the Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach.

The MMDP focuses on developing theoretical knowledge and practical skills in migration management, including articulation, presenting, writing briefs, formulating evidence-based policies, and working in groups. It also includes scenario-building sessions for participants to apply the latest knowledge.

The Migration Management Diploma Program (MMDP) is a three-course program offering networking opportunities through field trips across Europe. It consists of three courses: Migration Management and Protection, Migration and Development, and Migration Policy. The program requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week and is open for applications from professionals and civil servants in migration management.
