Applications are now open for the 2024 LSE Masters Awards funding for taught masters study in the UK!
The LSE Masters Awards (LMAs) are part of LSE's funding options for students pursuing taught master's degrees. The main funding scheme is the Graduate Support Scheme (GSS), which aims to complement other financial resources secured by students through savings, loans, or external scholarships.
For LMAs created by donors to LSE, candidates with significant financial need beyond what the GSS can cover may be shortlisted from the pool of offer holders. These candidates must indicate their interest in other scholarships by providing additional information in their personal statement as part of the LSE Graduate Financial Support Application.
Since the availability of LSE Masters Awards scholarships varies annually, a dedicated fund is allocated to provide LMAs for candidates who do not qualify for other scholarships due to specific criteria. LMAs may also be used to supplement existing scholarships if the funds are insufficient to cover the eligible candidate's financial gap.
Preference is given to applicants from low and middle-income countries, especially if loans are not accessible or if these countries are underrepresented in other award schemes managed by the School. The value of LSE Masters Awards can range from £5,000 to covering the entire program costs.
To be eligible for LSE funding for programs starting in September 2024, applicants must meet certain criteria.
