Applications Open for Panelists, Youth Innovators and AI Education Leaders at the UNU Macau AI Conference 2026

Applications are now open for participation in the UNU Macau AI Conference 2026, a global event that will bring together policymakers, educators, researchers, technology experts, and young innovators to explore the future of artificial intelligence in education. The conference will take place on 25–26 November 2026 in Macau SAR, China, under the theme "AI × Education: AI for Learning, Learning for AI."

Organized by the United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau), the two-day conference aims to examine how artificial intelligence can transform education while ensuring that learners, institutions, and societies are prepared to use AI responsibly and ethically. The event will also highlight perspectives from the Global South and encourage international collaboration on digital transformation.

The conference will feature keynote presentations, expert panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions focused on emerging issues in AI-powered education. Participants will explore topics including the future of learning, employability skills, trustworthy AI communication, AI in low-resource settings, agentic AI, and strategies for advancing equitable access to digital education.

Alongside the main conference, UNU Macau will host the AI for SDGs – Global Youth AI Future Innovation Competition 2026, providing young innovators with an opportunity to showcase creative AI solutions that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. Workshops and specialized training sessions will also be organized to strengthen participants' knowledge and practical skills.

The organizers are inviting applications from panelists, researchers, education professionals, technology experts, government representatives, civil society organizations, private sector leaders, and young innovators interested in contributing to global discussions on responsible AI and education.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with international experts, exchange knowledge, build professional networks, contribute to policy dialogue, and help shape future approaches to AI-driven education. The conference also aims to produce research outputs, strengthen global partnerships, and position Macau as a leading hub for AI, education, and digital innovation.
