In anticipation of World Malaria Day 2025, which is observed annually on April 25 to recognize global, continental, and national efforts to control, prevent, and eradicate malaria, the Imara Leadership Initiative (ILI) under the My Health, My Value project focuses on addressing health challenges across African societies and communities. This work is carried out in collaboration with in-country partners to combat malaria, neglected tropical diseases, and to promote reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health at various levels—continental, regional, national, sub-national, and community.
Malaria Young Leaders Africa Accelerator Program
The Malaria Young Leaders Africa Accelerator Program is a three-month initiative designed to enhance the leadership and management abilities of young leaders committed to ending malaria. This program combines both online and in-person experiences
- February 1, 2025: Application period opens.
- February 28, 2025: Application deadline (23:59 EAT).
- March 1-30, 2025: Review and sorting of applications by the reading committee.
- April 10, 2025: Notifications sent to selected applicants via email.
- April 25, 2025: Official announcement of selected applicants on World Malaria Day 2025.
