FULLY FUNDED: APFSD Youth Forum 2026 – Empowering Young Voices for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific

Applications are now open for the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) Youth Forum 2026, a major regional event that brings together young leaders from across the Asia-Pacific to discuss sustainable development priorities, challenges, and youth-led solutions.

Organized by the Asia-Pacific Regional CSO Engagement Mechanism (AP-RCEM) and the Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW), this annual forum provides a platform for youth to shape the regional development agenda and prepare collective inputs for the official APFSD and High-Level Political Forum (HLPF). The 2026 edition will focus on amplifying youth participation in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through collaboration, advocacy, and innovation.

Program Benefits
Selected participants will receive full financial support to attend the APFSD Youth Forum 2026. This includes round-trip airfare, accommodation, meals, and local transport during the event. Participants will also benefit from capacity-building sessions, policy training, and networking opportunities with youth activists, regional experts, and representatives from UN agencies and civil society organizations.

The forum provides a unique opportunity to influence regional and global policy processes, as delegates’ statements and recommendations are incorporated into youth and civil society submissions to the official Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) and later presented at the UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York. Through this platform, young people will enhance their leadership skills, deepen their understanding of the SDGs, and build collaborative strategies for transformative action across the region.
Eligibility Criteria
The APFSD Youth Forum 2026 is open to young people aged 13 to 30 years old (those born on or after 21 February 1996) from countries within the Asia-Pacific region. Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainable development, youth empowerment, gender equality, and social justice. They must also have experience in advocacy, community engagement, or policy work related to any of the SDGs or youth-led initiatives at the local, national, or regional level.

Priority will be given to youth who are part of marginalized groups, including Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ youth, and rural or grassroots community representatives. Selected participants are expected to actively contribute to discussions, share their experiences, and collaborate with other youth delegates to shape regional policy recommendations.
