Applications are open for the Essential Grant Writing Skills Programme (January – March 2026), an important training initiative organised by the Africa Research Excellence Fund (AREF). This programme has been carefully designed to build the capacity of African researchers by equipping them with practical skills in grant writing, helping them compete more effectively for international and local research funding. By participating, early-career researchers will gain the knowledge, confidence, and strategies needed to communicate their research ideas clearly and persuasively to funders.
