FULLY FUNDED: Apply for the Oxford Saïd Global Climate Tech Challenge 2026

Applications are open for the Oxford Saïd Global Climate Tech Challenge 2026, a global innovation competition organized by the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. The challenge invites high school students and teachers from around the world to develop bold, technology-driven solutions that address some of the world’s most pressing climate challenges. Participants are encouraged to transform innovative ideas into practical solutions that can create meaningful environmental impact while developing their leadership, research, and presentation skills.  

The competition focuses on five key themes: air pollution, extreme weather, food security, biodiversity, and water scarcity. Student teams will pitch innovative climate technology solutions, while teachers will submit lesson plans that promote climate education. Finalists will have the opportunity to present their work at the University of Oxford, gaining international exposure and networking with experts in climate innovation and education.

Program Benefits
The winning student team will receive a full scholarship to attend the Future Climate Innovators Summer School at the University of Oxford in 2027, with all expenses covered. The winning teacher will receive a fully funded place on an Executive Education Programme at Oxford Saïd in 2027.

All finalist student teams and teachers will be invited to Oxford to present their projects during the global finals, with travel and accommodation fully funded by the organizers. In addition, every participant whose submission is approved will receive an official Certificate of Participation from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, recognizing their contribution to climate innovation.
Eligibility Criteria
The student category is open to teams of three to five high school students aged 15–18 years from anywhere in the world. Individual student applications are not accepted. Teams may consist of students from the same school, different schools, or even different countries, provided they meet the age requirements. Each team must submit a technology-based solution addressing one of the five designated climate challenge themes. A complete application includes a ten-slide presentation (submitted as a PDF), a presentation video of up to three minutes, and signed parental consent forms for all participating students.

The teacher category is open to individual high school teachers worldwide. Teachers are required to submit lesson plans that encourage students to understand climate change and think creatively about climate solutions through education and innovation.

The competition is open to applicants from all countries worldwide, provided they meet the eligibility requirements for the student or teacher category.
