Fully Funded to China : Apply for the UNESCO/The People’s Republic of China – The Great Wall Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme 2025-2026
UNESCO, in partnership with the Government of the People’s Republic of China, is providing 75 fellowships for advanced studies for the 2025-2026 academic year. This initiative aims to support human resource development and enhance international collaboration in fields such as education, culture, communication, science, and technology. The fellowships are available to individuals from 135 developing countries across regions including Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and the Arab world, with 47 of the positions designated for new applicants.
These fellowships will be hosted at a select group of Chinese universities and are designed for those pursuing postgraduate degrees or conducting research with the support of a supervisor in China. Applicants may choose from a one-year Visiting Scholar programme (either General or Senior) or pursue a Master’s or Doctoral Degree, with the length of study varying between 2 to 5 years. Depending on the university, courses may be taught in English or Chinese. Those opting for Chinese-language programmes must have an appropriate level of Chinese proficiency prior to starting.
Countries eligible for the UNESCO-China Fund-in-Trust (CFIT) Project are invited to submit nominations for candidates in relevant study areas, especially in the field of Education. As UNESCO prioritizes Gender Equality, as well as regions like Africa and Small Island Developing States (SIDS), applications from women and individuals from these regions are strongly encouraged.
Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 12 February 2025.
