FULLY FUNDED TO FRANCE: Apply for the French Embassy in Ghana Master’s Degree scholarship for young Ghanaians
The 2025/2026 French Embassy in Ghana Master’s Degree Scholarship Programme is now accepting applications. This initiative aims to promote academic cooperation and student exchange between Ghana and France, offering fully funded scholarships to exceptional Ghanaian students pursuing Master’s degrees in selected fields. The scholarships are awarded based on both academic excellence and financial need.
Master’s programmes in France typically span two years (M1 and M2). Applicants admitted into the first year (M1) will receive funding for the full two-year programme, while those joining directly at the second year (M2) will be supported for one academic year.
French language proficiency is not a requirement for most programmes, except for those applying to study French as a Foreign Language (FLE). Applicants must be under 30 years old, hold Ghanaian nationality, and currently reside in Ghana. Eligible candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and must have completed their National Service. Preference will be given to applicants with First Class or Second-Class Upper degrees who demonstrate a strong commitment to pursuing their studies in France during the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 academic years.
The scholarship supports studies in various fields, including STEM, Mathematics, ICT, Health Sciences, Environment and Sustainable Development, Archaeology and Heritage Studies, Cultural and Creative Industries, Agriculture and Food Industry, and French as a Foreign Language (FLE).
To apply, candidates must submit a single PDF document containing all required materials via email. The file should be named in the format: Name-Surname_2025_Master.pdf, with the same format used in the email subject line. Once received, applicants will be sent an email acknowledging the submission of a complete application.
The application package must include a copy of the applicant’s international passport data page (valid for at least two years), a recommendation letter from their university (optional but highly encouraged), a filled-out application form, and a motivation letter outlining the applicant’s academic interests and career goals. Additionally, applicants must provide undergraduate academic transcripts, proof of admission into a French university, a comprehensive CV, and documents detailing their financial situation, such as bank statements, pay slips, or previous scholarship certificates.
This scholarship offers a life-changing opportunity for Ghanaian students to further their education in France, gain international experience, and contribute to their country’s development upon their return.
