Fully Funded to USA : Check out the AstraZeneca Scholarships for Young Leaders to Attend the Climate Entrepreneurship Academy

Young leaders from all over the world can apply for scholarships from AFS Intercultural Programmes and AstraZeneca's Young Health Programme to attend the 2024 AFS Youth Assembly's Climate Entrepreneurship Academy. The objective of AstraZeneca is to enable these leaders to tackle health-related climate concerns and improve healthcare accessibility. The need for health systems to be strengthened is made more urgent by the ongoing effects of COVID-19 and climate change.

Focus Area: Resilience of health systems and climate entrepreneurship

With an emphasis on tackling global issues, this programme offers young leaders the ability to network, learn, and participate in conversations around climate entrepreneurship and health system resilience.

The AFS Youth Assembly in New York City will host the Climate Entrepreneurship Academy, a specialised programme run by New York University (NYU) and sponsored by AstraZeneca, from August 14–18, 2024. This Academy, created by the Centre for Global Affairs at NYU's School of Professional Studies, facilitates learning about climate entrepreneurship through seminars, site visits, and special events.

After completing the programme, participants will interact with distinguished instructors, get knowledge of the clean energy industry, and obtain an NYU certificate of participation. The AFS Youth Assembly is an international forum that cultivates a network of youth leaders via instruction, interaction, and meaningful activities.

AstraZeneca wants to build health systems that are egalitarian, resilient, and net-zero for both present and future requirements. They support the employment of cutting-edge technology, early illness prevention, and strategic health investment. They target disadvantaged people between the ages of 10 and 24 and concentrate on illness prevention, education, literacy, and empowerment. Their strategy is in line with international initiatives to remove obstacles to healthcare access and give priority to preventive care.

Don't miss out o the application deadline which is May 15, 2024.
