The scholarship covers tuition fees, room and board expenses, book expenses, transportation costs, and personal expenses for students. Eligibility Criteria
Senior in High School: Candidates must be seniors in high school at the time of application.
Candidates should be of one or more of the following ethnic backgrounds: Asian and Pacific Islander Americans, American Indian/Alaska Native, African-American, and/or Hispanic Americans.
Pell-Eligibility: It is essential that candidates meet the requirements for the Pell Grant.
Application requirements for The Gates Scholarship require applicants to be citizens, nationals, or lawful permanent residents of the United States.
Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent, is required to maintain a strong academic record.
The candidates' intended enrollment should be full-time enrollment in a four-year degree programme at a private or public, accredited, not-for-profit college or university in the United States.
