Overview of Project Call

This project call is designed to deliver targeted support to CCAC State Partners, responding directly to their requests for assistance in advancing national policies and mitigation measures related to short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs).

These needs are identified through the annual Expression of Interest (EOI) process, which gathers input from government partners in developing countries. For further details, interested parties can contact the CCAC Secretariat at secretariat@ccacoalition.org.

🌾 Agriculture

• Cambodia: Expanding integrated rice straw management strategies to curb black carbon emissions
• Mexico: Rolling out a national plan to cut methane emissions from livestock production

❄️ Cooling and Refrigeration

• Brazil: Developing regulatory frameworks for commercial refrigeration to reduce SLCPs as part of a transition to climate-friendly and efficient RAC systems
• Kenya, Malawi, Uganda & Zimbabwe: Regional initiative to eliminate high-GWP fluorocarbons through pilot refrigerant destruction using cement kilns

🚚 Heavy-Duty Transport

• Cambodia: Boosting enforcement of emission standards and preparing for Euro 6 adoption
• Vanuatu: Advancing air quality standards and emission controls in road, maritime, and shipping sectors

🏠 Clean Household Energy

• Liberia: Promoting clean energy alternatives for households
• Nigeria: Integrating electric cooking into the national clean cooking strategy and funding implementation pathways

• Bhutan, Ethiopia, Madagascar: Crafting national SLCP and methane action plans
• Côte d'Ivoire: Enhancing environmental disclosure by businesses, with an emphasis on SLCPs
