Applications are now open for the Iris Prize 2026, a global opportunity designed to support young people who are taking action to protect and restore nature in their communities. The initiative recognizes youth-led environmental solutions and provides funding to help promising ideas and projects grow into impactful initiatives.
The program invites young changemakers who are working on innovative solutions to environmental challenges such as biodiversity loss, ecosystem restoration, and community-based conservation. Through financial support, networking opportunities, and capacity-building resources, the Iris Prize aims to strengthen youth leadership in environmental protection.
Young leaders aged 14 to 24 who are working on projects that contribute to protecting nature or restoring ecosystems are encouraged to apply. Projects can range from early-stage ideas to established initiatives with the potential to expand and inspire similar efforts elsewhere.
To begin the application process, candidates must first complete an eligibility quiz, which provides access to the official application form. Applications are accepted in multiple languages, and offline submissions are also available to ensure accessibility for participants worldwide.
