Applications are open for Generation Hope Goals 2026, an initiative led by UNESCAP to inspire children and young people to design innovative solutions that address the challenges of climate change and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Young applicants are invited to submit projects that demonstrate originality, impact, and a clear pathway for change, with the chance to access mentorship and guidance to further refine their solutions. Finalists will present their proposals during the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development in Bangkok, where they will connect with leaders, peers, and Changemakers committed to driving forward the global sustainability agenda.

Participants in Generation Hope Goals 2026 will gain the opportunity to showcase their innovative climate solutions on a regional platform, receive mentorship and training to strengthen their projects, and take part in pitch workshops that prepare them for presenting their ideas to influential leaders and decision-makers. Finalists will be invited to present at the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development in Bangkok, gaining international visibility and the chance to network with changemakers, policy experts, and organizations committed to sustainability, which can open doors to further collaborations and support for their initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Generation Hope Goals 2026 is open to children and young people across the Asia-Pacific region, generally between the ages of 14 and 24, who are passionate about creating solutions that address climate change and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Applicants should be able to demonstrate innovative thinking and present prototype-stage ideas or projects that can make a meaningful impact in their communities. Teams or individuals are welcome to apply, and participants must be committed to engaging in mentorship sessions and presenting their work if selected as finalists.
