VOLUNTEER ROLES: Join the Care About Climate (CAC) team and lead climate action in 2026 (stipends available)

Applications are open to join Care About Climate (CAC), a global network of climate advocates dedicated to building intergenerational leadership and equipping young people with the skills needed to shape climate policy and advocacy. CAC works to empower the next generation of climate leaders to actively influence decisions that affect our shared future.

They are driven by the belief that young people have the power to reclaim and protect the planet’s future, provided they have the right support systems in place. Their vision is a connected international community of informed, confident, and engaged youth working together to advance fair and inclusive climate solutions across regions and generations.

With growing recognition from several United Nations agencies and an expanding group of partners, CAC is entering a new phase of impact and is inviting motivated young people to apply and become part of their team. Much of CAC’s work is powered by volunteers, who play a central role in shaping and delivering its programs.

To redefine the traditional volunteering experience, CAC offers a structured pathway for growth and leadership. Volunteers who commit for six months become eligible for promotion to Fellow status. Fellows gain access to opportunities such as representing the organization in high-level meetings, engaging directly with partners, requesting recommendation letters, and applying for support from a volunteer fund to participate in local or regional events, subject to available resources.

Several leadership positions are currently open and come with a monthly stipend, requiring a minimum commitment of ten hours per week, with compensation details discussed during the interview process. Additional volunteer and fellow roles are also available, typically requiring five to six hours per week, with expanded benefits once promoted to Fellow, including access to the volunteer trust fund.

This call is open to young people who are passionate about climate justice, policy, advocacy, communications, operations, and research, and who are eager to contribute their skills while growing as leaders within a global climate movement.
