The UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030) seeks a passionate volunteer to support its Communications Team in advancing the goals of ocean science and sustainability. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Ocean Decade's mission of reversing the decline of the ocean ecosystem and promoting sustainable development through science-based solutions.

- Location: Remote (with online coordination meetings)
Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Ocean Decade Communications and Science Outreach Manager, the volunteer will:
- Assist in implementing the Communications Strategy, including uploading content to the Ocean Decade website and updating endorsed Ocean Decade Actions and Events pages.
- Contribute to content creation for social media, web news, and other communications materials.
- Support Ocean Decade Action communications focal points, helping with logo usage and guidelines.
- Maintain and enhance the Ocean Decade Communications - Actions tracking sheet.
- Assist with communications efforts related to Ocean Decade events.
- Provide any additional support as required by the Communications Team.
Supervisory Arrangement:
The volunteer will report to the Ocean Decade Communications and Science Outreach Manager, working closely with the Digital Engagement Officer and Communications Officer. Regular meetings will ensure the volunteer is fully integrated into the Ocean Decade and Communications Team activities.
