FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship for MSc at IHE Delft (2026)

Applications are open for the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) linked to selected Master’s programmes at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. This fully funded opportunity supports mid-career professionals from developing countries to pursue advanced studies in water, sanitation, and sustainable development.

Since its launch in 1987, the scholarship has supported more than 6,000 professionals from over 160 countries, helping them gain skills to contribute to development initiatives in their home regions.

About the Opportunity

Eligible candidates who secure academic admission to one of IHE Delft’s selected MSc programmes, such as the MSc in Water and Sustainable Development, may be nominated for the World Bank scholarship. The award covers tuition, living expenses, and other study-related costs, enabling scholars to focus fully on their studies.

  • Scholarship nomination submission to IHE Delft: 15 March 2026

  • Shortlisted candidates apply to the World Bank: 30 March – 29 May 2026

  • Final scholarship decisions announced: End of June 2026

Application Process

Applicants must first apply for admission to an eligible MSc programme at IHE Delft. After receiving academic admission, they can submit the scholarship nomination form to IHE Delft. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to apply directly through the World Bank scholarship platform.
