The Global Youth Statement (GYS) 2025 is still open for contributions, offering young people around the world a chance to shape the climate agenda ahead of COP30. Coordinated by YOUNGO, the official children and youth constituency of the UNFCCC, the statement will bring together the voices of young people into a unified call for climate justice.

The GYS serves as a collective declaration, outlining the key demands of children and youth to global policymakers. Its purpose is to hold decision-makers accountable for their commitments and to push for urgent, systemic, and equitable climate action.

Youth organizations, local conferences of youth (LCOYs), and individuals alike are invited to submit their insights and proposals across the statement’s thematic sections. Every submission strengthens the final declaration and ensures that the priorities of young people are at the forefront of global negotiations.

With only 24 hours remaining before submissions close, this is the final opportunity for young voices to be heard and reflected in the official policy demands delivered at COP30.
