Applications are open for the Intercontinental Youth Connect (IYC) 2026 Ambassador Programme, for motivated young leaders from across Africa and the global diaspora to take part in a year-long journey of leadership, diplomacy, and youth-driven development.

About the Programme

The Ambassador Programme is designed for young people who want to represent their countries or institutions while contributing to IYC’s mission of strengthening youth leadership across continents. Ambassadors will serve as focal points in their respective regions, helping to connect local youth initiatives with IYC’s broader international platforms.

What Ambassadors Will Do

Selected ambassadors will have the opportunity to:

• Represent IYC within their country, community, school, or organization

• Help mobilize and coordinate youth delegations for major IYC events

• Take part in leadership, diplomacy, and advocacy training

• Receive access to exclusive opportunities through global IYC programmes

• Support youth-led development projects and collaborations

This role is suited for young individuals eager to influence positive change, promote unity, and inspire collective action.

Ambassadors will play a role in coordinating engagement in the following IYC events:

• African Youth Leadership Diplomatic Conference – Ethiopia, March 2026

• Southern African Youth Development Council (SAYDc) – South Africa, June 2026

• Intercontinental Youth Connect Summit – Dubai, September 2026

• Pan-African Leadership Forum – Ghana, December 2026

• Zimbabwe International Youth Network – Zimbabwe (date to be announced)
